As you know, I’m a musician. I tour, I play, I kick ass, and I’m busy.
You are too. After all, that’s why you’re here!
My services, therefore are a little different…
First, we don’t actually meet up.
We connect via Skype (it’s free!) from our laptops, from our hotel rooms, local wi-fi enabled coffee shop or wherever it’s convenient. We can connect whenever too. As a musician, you may not keep regular hours. That’s cool. So we connect later on. No biggie.
During these conversations, we assess your goals, and talk candidly about what you hope to achieve, and what you can realistically achieve, given your lifestyle. I’ll share tips that got me to where I am, and I’ll help you get there too! Even if you just need a shoulder to lean on, I’m happy to provide moral support and comfort. You’ll find I’m an awesome friend.
What about fees?
Hey, we’re musicians. Most of us live paycheck to paycheck, and sometimes those paychecks aren’t too damn big (unless you’re Beyonce, but she has the luxury of being able to hire her own chef and team of trainers and doesn’t need me). Trust me, I get that. I’ve lived it. Am living it, actually. So you pay what you can afford.
If you’re doing very well, it’s only fair that I’m fairly compensated for my time. If you’re barely scraping by, I’ve done 20 minute sessions for as little as $5. Point is, I’m here to help.
Of course, I can only help so many people, but that’s a different matter altogether. I also have to eat and pay rent myself and if money’s tight, I have to prioritize those who can pay over those that cannot. Even I cannot avoid the economics of reality.
A Typical Training Session
During our initial consultation, I’ll learn a little more about you – your goals, challenges, activity level, lifestyle, diet, and so on. We may not have enough time (I usually book 20 minute sessions) to get into the nitty-gritty of your strategy for moving forward right away (sometimes, depending on the unique challenges you face, I may need a little time to put something together for you that will work).
Instead, we’ll start discussing those changes in the next session. Then, we’ll discuss implementing them. Further meetings are for support, questions, encouragement and so on.
What about a Guarantee?
I offer a 100% money back guarantee on the first session only.
If you don’t like me or what I do, or how I do it, we can part company as friends and I’ll happily give you a refund. If you book further sessions with me I have to assume you like what I do and I cannot refund these purchases because now I have my own time invested. I once had a client whom I consulted with for 3 months, meeting every 2 weeks. At the end of our time together, she demanded a refund because “she hadn’t achieved her goals.” This was somehow my fault (we spent most of out time together discussing why she wouldn’t eat anything healthy or get off the couch and get active). I refused her refund because, quite frankly, you don’t hire someone for 3 months if you’re not getting some value from the service, and I don’t work for free any more than the next person.
So yeah… guarantee on the first one. Then… NO.
